It feels close enough now to start thinking about Christmas.
Late night opening in Ottery St Mary is on Friday 24th November and we will be open with some drop in, quick make crafts as well as some delightful Christmas gifts and decorations.
I love the angel mice - I'm already looking at a couple thinking they may have to stay home with me!! They are hand knitted, crocheted, embroidered and they take ages to make but they are so adorable. I will have limited amounts of these ready to fly on your Christmas trees.
We have some unusual wooden and tin decorations from East End Press and some beautiful jewellery sets from Aether Nox.
I've been experimenting with non traditional wreaths. From the East End Press stock we have some versatile wooden wreaths that can be used on doors or tables - no mess, easy to pack away and reuse. I've been using crochet to make leaves and berries to make another no mess, reusable wreath and adding in some lovely glass baubles that can contain lights or a fresh flower.
Trying to continue rethinking how to reduce our waste without being a Grinch!
Our motto of buy less, buy beautiful, make more, waste less is always a hard one to hit but we're working hard to come up with new and exciting ideas.
Watch out for our Christmas workshops. Who wants to make a giant cracker? What about some hand printed gift paper and tags? Or maybe someone wants to make their own angel mouse.
Don't forget when the shop isn't open you can contact me via this website or at gorunyaosm@gmail.com or on 07711 100250. Sitting in the shop isn't always practical so working from home helps me develop new ideas and try out new skills - but I'm never that far away so can help out with any queries or deliveries at any time.
