We look forward to welcoming you to our August workshops. Due to popular demand we have kept the Sumi-e painting on our schedule and keeping with the Japanese theme we are offering simple sewing workshops to make reversible rice bags and fabric or ribbon flowers. A lot of Japanese crafts are about mending and using what you have available so you can leave us with some knowledge to go back and use up your scrap materials.
We are also offering Gelli plate printing. These plates can be expensive so come and try with us first before you invest. We have had fun experimenting with colour blending and imprinting with all sorts of things. It is a productive and clean way of printing to share with you.
We've added some classes on a Tuesday evening and a Sunday afternoon to make our informal and friendly classes more accessible and as usual we have tried to keep costs as low as possible.
